Headquartered in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Bluegrass Cellular is a locally owned and operated wireless organization providing telecommunication services since 1991 to 34 counties in Central Kentucky. Bluegrass has 13 company owned and operated retail locations and over 45 authorized agents. In 1998, Bluegrass began offering TDMA digital cellular service and recently completed and commercially launched CDMA network overlay in November 2004. In addition to voice coverage, Bluegrass has recently launched enhanced features such as MMS, BREW, Mobile Web and Push-To-Talk services. Bluegrass Cellular is a member of the Rural Cellular Association (RCA) and the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA).
