International roaming is a critical feature for travelers today, and the CDG has dedicated substantial resources to provide CDMA subscribers with seamless connectivity to their CDMA services globally. The CDG International Roaming Team (IRT) develops the tools and is assisting operators in the deployment and marketing of international roaming services. The team has published implementation guidelines for billing and testing to enable a service provider to quickly deploy international voice, SMS and data roaming service for their customers and is spearheading the effort to provide inter-standard (CDMA to GSM/3G to 4G) roaming capability to further expand the service.
